A funeral is a tribute of life, a time where family and friends gather in sadness sharing their sorrow... a time where they pay tribute to their departed loved one.
When the death of a relative or friend occurs, it is an emotional and confusing time for a family. Decisions need to be made in a short time.
Funeral Directors give excellent advice and guidance but they are not always able to provide information on all the options for the actual service. Funerals are often organised by the family, this is a time when emotions are fragile, and the family is grieving and may not be thinking clearly.
It is very important that the funeral service is conducted and arranged to reflect the life of the deceased. The bereaved family need assurance and comfort at this difficult time in their lives.
In consultation with you and family memebers Jeanette will design a funeral service which will meet everyone’s needs. You and your family are free to select a funeral celebrant of your choice, it does not necessarily have to be someone the funeral director recommends.
Jeanette is a member of the Celebrants Association of NZ, (CANZ) which provides access to professional celebrants who deliver quality, personalised and meaningful ceremonies for all occasions. Jeanette works to Codes of Conduct and Ethics, and offer a Complaints Procedure.
As a registered Celebrant through the Department of Internal Affairs Jeanette has a responsibility to live up to expectations placed on her. CANZ works closely with the Office of the Registrar of Births, Deaths and Marriages, whose lines of communication are always open for assistance.
As a Celebrant Jeanette performs a range of ceremonies - Weddings, Funerals, Baby Naming, and House Blessings.
